Thinking about buying a new home? Memphis Area Teachers’ Credit Union (MATCU) can give you some tips at a Home Buying Education workshop Saturday, Jan. 19. Being held from 1-5 p.m. at the MATCU main office, 7845 Hwy. 64 at Kate Bond Rd., the seminar is open to both members and non-members, but seating is limited.
Prospective homebuyers will take part in a workshop that will provide valuable information to help with the process of purchasing a new home. Participants will learn about pre-purchase counseling, home improvement and rehabilitation, mobility and relocation assistance, renter assistance, reverse mortgages, mortgage delinquency and loss mitigation.
Speakers include attorney William Traviss, home inspector Gabe Pryor and insurance agent Les Jones.
