‘Shaped for Service’ at St. Mark Ministries
The Brotherhood Ministry Of the St. Mark Ministries Church of God in Christ, 1520 Gaither St., Elder Michael L. Glover, pastor will sponsor an evening of worship and praise Sunday, Sept. 28 at 2:30 p.m.
The guest speaker is Minister Jeff Bradfield of Temple of Deliverance COGIC. Other guests will include Calvin Daughtry and the Temple Church of God in Christ Drill Team.
The theme is “Shaped for Service.” The Scripture: “For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.” –Ephesians 2:10

Usher Association hosts annual prayer breakfast
The City Usher Association will sponsor the Annual Prayer Breakfast on Oct. 4 at 8:30 a.m., at the Greater White Stone Baptist Church, 917 S. Wellington.
Rev. Joseph McGee is host pastor. The speakers are Rev. Robert Williams from Saint John’s Baptist Church on Vance and Rev. Kenneth Pinkney, interim pastor of Middle Baptist Church.
Bessie Rogers is program chairman. Vernie Mae Lemons is the association’s president; Dr. Jerry Jones is Dean.
