The Memphis Grizzlies were scrapping with the Atlanta Hawks at press time Wednesday night as the 2008-09 season wound down at the FedExForum.

Billed as “Young and Hungry” before the start of the season, the Memphis Grizzlies’ started three rookies – Marc Gasol, Mayo and Darrell Arthur – for the majority of the year.

Heading into the finale against the Hawks, the Grizz (23-58) had lost their last two games but were 5-5 over the last 10. The home record was 15 and 25, and the overall victory total of 23 was one better than the previous season tally.
