by Tina L. BirchettSpecial to the Tri-State DefenderIn our quest to gain prosperity and impress our neighbors, we often end up with an abundance of material stuff that clutters our homes, surroundings, and minds. And then, we wonder why we are not satisfied in spite of all our trappings.
The problem is one of attitude and accessibility. There was a time when we were limited by our financial resources and mobility to move beyond our simple and good way of living. The economic downturn has reminded us of those days and now is the time to change our attitudes and get back to the basics. The best things in life aren’t things!
For Sisterhood Showcase 2009, we selected the theme “Living a Life of Quality – Not Quantity,” primarily because we believe quality living frees us from stress, encourages us to use our creative skills, and makes life more enjoyable and enduring; as opposed to living an excessive life of quantity.
Mark your calendars for June 6 and 7, which are important dates scheduled for you to enjoy a weekend of events that will entertain, empower, and renew your spirit.
