For some, finding the right college major can be difficult, especially if you are indecisive like me. Some students have known since forever what they want to major in, but for others like me, the career interests keep changing. Here are a few tips to consider as you make up your mind:
Stick to what you’re good at and what you enjoy.
Look at what people who already have degrees in that field are doing. Talk to them to see how easy it is to find work and get promotions. With workplaces changing at the speed of technology, students our age may expect to take several different career paths during a lifetime.
Talk to some people currently in your desired field. Ask them what a typical day for them is like; see if that is something that you really want to go through.
Shadow or intern. This is a great to get exposure to executives and recruiters who can help you find jobs later.
Take into consideration how your career choice may affect your home life. Do you want to work at home? Do you plan to take time off to start a family? Find out which careers offer work/home balance.
Take career aptitude tests. (

I even took one and my results were legal, media, or management. I never considered majoring in management, but I could be good in this field so now I want to look into it.
