What are your New Year’s resolutions?
First word: “new.” Second words: dreams, goals, relationships, accomplishments.

Ok, you get the picture.

This is the time when many of us set resolutions for the next year. Although some may not stick to those resolutions and see them through, others do. I’m in the not-always category. Curious about what others are resolving to do, I posed the question: “What are your New Year’s resolutions?”

Check out some of the replies.

“To stop procrastinating and get to work on my business and also to be more dedicated to my college work/study.”
Raeshuna Collier, 17

“My New Year’s resolution is to go into 2010 focused and ready to graduate. Also, to get accepted into a good college and leave the childish stuff in 2009.”
Mignon Hearn, 17

“My New Year’s resolution is to eliminate some of the people I called friends and learn how to be my own best friend! Also, I want to make my senior year the best year of my life!”
Martina Westbrook, 18

“To just do better and live better for me.”
Khari Eason, 18

“To stop procrastinating and read my Bible more.”
Jason Riley, 17

“To stop smoking.”
Laroy Johnson, 18

“To change my attitude and be successful in life.”
Keyno Small, 18

“To be a better man than I was last year.”
Matthew Faulkner, 18

“My New Year’s resolution is to always win in 2010, meaning to be more aware of what the new year throws at me and stay focused. New year, new style, new me!
Markesha Dunlap, 17

“My New Year’s resolution is to become more aware of who I am.”
Shapria Williams, 17

“My resolution is to keep working on my attitude and keep striving hard for what I want to come true.”
Taisha Collins, 16

“To work harder in school.”
Kelsea Hawkins, 17

“My New Year’s resolutions consist of finishing my doctoral studies by completing my dissection, getting my son ready for graduation and college, and celebrating 20 years of wedded bliss with a wonderful man.”
Tonya Biles, Principal of MAHS Middle School

As for your iTeen reporter, my New Year’s resolution is to remain positive and to continue to discover who I am.

Happy New Year to everyone and I hope that you accomplish all you set out to accomplish this year, if not more!
