| Notice is hereby given that the Memphis and Shelby County Land Use Control Board will hold a public hearing on the following: SOUTH MEMPHIS REVITALIZATION ACTION PLAN – SoMe RAP Location: Generally bounded by Lauderdale Street, Trigg Avenue, Interstate 240 & Person Avenue Intent of the South Memphis Revitalization Action Plan: The South Memphis Revitalization Action Plan is a comprehensive neighborhood revitalization plan designed to transform South Memphis into one of the region’s premier Neighborhoods of Choice. The plan identifies and builds upon the existing structure of community assets including several strong charter schools, LeMoyne Owen College, the Stax Museum and Music Academy and the historic fabric of the neighborhood, buildings, institutions and streets. Implementation of the Plan will be guided by the SoMe RAP Steering Committee with membership from 22 area businesses, religious institutions, service and civic organizations.
