12-year-old student at Colonial Middle School -- is on a quest to win the
“Today Show” Kid Reporter contest. The Tri-State Defender is making the journey

On Wednesday, Deidra and
Ms. Conner headed to New York City for Deidra's Thursday appearance on the
"Today Show" with three other finalists. She will be taping
assignments that will be aired next Monday, Nov. 9th through Tuesday Nov. 10th
ending at 4 pm CST.
