HOPE NOW National Homeownership Preservation Event
The City of Memphis, Shelby County Government, HUD, the Housing Counseling Network, and the Memphis Branch of the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis have teamed up with the HOPE NOW Alliance for the HOPE NOW Homeownership Preservation Event to allow borrowers to meet with their servicer or a counseling organization face-to-face to develop a workout solution that helps borrowers stay in their homes.
The event will take place, Saturday, May 3, 2008 from 11:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. at the Mid-South Fairgrounds Pipkin Building located at 940 Early Maxwell Blvd.
The HOPE NOW Homeownership Preservation Event is FREE and open to the public. The event will include opportunities for borrowers to meet one-on-one with lenders about options to avoid foreclosure.
In addition to the one-on-one, there will also be information and other assistance on homeownership preservation.
Borrowers are encouraged to bring their most recent pay stubs, bank statements, tax returns, and correspondence from their mortgage lender.
